Why Vitamin C is imperative to healthy skin!

There is nothing better than enjoying a beautiful sweet juicy orange.  Yummo!

Vitamin C is important to our inner health, it helps boost our immune system, helps with the absorption of iron, is necessary to the development and repair of all body tissues, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones and teeth.

But did you just how important Vitamin C is to your skin? Sure is!

Vitamin C is found at high levels on the epidermis if the skin.  It's cancer fighting antioxidants and aids in collagen production. It helps to heal damaged skin and, in some cases, reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Adequate vitamin c intake can also help repair and prevent dry skin.

Food that are high in vitamin c are: citrus, peppers (capsicums and chilies), strawberries, broccoli, guava, blackcurrants, thyme (gram for gram has higher vitamin c levels than citrus), parsley, kale, kiwi fruit, lychees, papayas, lemon myrtle, brussel sprouts (not for me!)
